The Trip Information Program (TIP) was a FoxPro DOS based application created in the early 1980's. TIP collects biological data that in turn is used for research and reporting. Artech held extensive meetings to gather and document project goals, critical success factors, business benefits and requirements. Artech transferred the information and produced TIP Online (TIP-OL), an online data collection system. TIP-OL improves accessibility and data integrity, which also provides the interviewer with additional functionality while maintaining the original look and feel. Artech maintained the three areas that determine how well a Web Application performs: scalability, availability, and the ability to balance incoming loads across multiple servers improving accessibility and data integrity. Oracle 9iAS was utilized providing a highly efficient platform for Web site deployment. Once deployed, the system allows enhancement and customization through a relatively quick selection of options rather than via a major programming effort. | Contractor: | .. | Artech Consulting Group | | Project Status: |
